Our mission is to maximize the revenue potential of an image by placing it in the appropriate collection at the correct price point.  

A contract with OPTICOPIA provides the photographer with a single convenient way to market images across a diverse landscape of licensing models.  Founded by Tim Hawley, OPTICOPIA is dedicated to the photographer and supports them in every aspect including editing, keywording, copyright registration, art direction and of course, submissions.

With 13 years experience, we are very well informed of the needs and contents of the major stock agencies and have contracts in place in order to provide submission of valuable image content to multiple major stock agencies like Getty, Corbis, Veer and Masterfile.  We also have contracts with boutique agencies like Transtock, CGI Backgrounds and Spaces Images for when these avenues are more appropriate.  

ABOUT THE CONTRACT:

1. You retain ownership and copyright of your images.
2. The royalty split is 50/50 between the contributor and the company for all pricing models. 
3. The initial term of the contract is for 3 years and it renews automatically on an annual basis unless one of the parties terminates the Agreement.
4. This is an "image exclusive" contract.  Accepted images and their similars cannot be submitted to any other Stock Photo Licensing Company during the term of the Agreement.
5. There are no limits or quotas on the number of images you submit.
6. You must provide releases for your images when appropriate.
7. You may choose either the Rights Managed or Royalty Free pricing model for your images or allow Opticopia to distribute your images by placing where we feel they will receive the most revenue.
8. You will be paid on a monthly basis and receive a Royalty Statement stating the licensing of the Accepted Images during the payment period.
   

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:

1. Finished files must be at least 48MB 8-bit TIFF files. They are to be 300 dpi with the Adobe RGB 1998 color profile.
2. Images must be retouched, logos removed, color corrected and free of dust.
3. There can be no digital artifacts such as banding in gradations, moire patterns, color fringing or excessive noise.
